Why I'm Building Rufsan Shares in Public

I've wanted to start a blog for years, and I kept talking myself out of it — waiting for the "right" idea, the "right" platform, the "right" amount of free time. None of that ever arrived on its own, so I stopped waiting. Rufsan Shares is what happens when you just start.

What this blog actually is

This isn't a single-topic blog, and that's on purpose. I'm a full-stack developer, I spend an unreasonable amount of time thinking about AI tooling, and I watch more anime than I probably should admit. Rather than split myself across three separate blogs nobody would read, I'm putting it all in one place: tech, AI, code, and life — unfiltered.

Why build in public

The whole site you're reading this on is being built completely in the open, one step at a time, and documented as I go — the architecture decisions, the bugs I hit, the things I got wrong and had to fix in production. That's this post's whole reason for existing: it's the first entry in the "Build in Public" series, where I'll keep sharing exactly how this thing gets built, warts and all.

A few things already running under the hood:

• Next.js 16 with the new Cache Components model

• Better Auth for accounts, with email/password and OAuth

• A Postgres database on Neon, queried through Prisma 7

• Real structured logging and error tracking wired in from day one

There's a lot more coming — a real blog listing, comments, a full admin dashboard, and everything else that turns "a Next.js app" into an actual blog. If any of that sounds interesting, stick around.
