Terms of Service
The short version: be decent, own what you write, don't break the site, and understand that this is one person's blog rather than a company with an SLA.
Last updated . Questions about any of this go to hello@rufsanshares.com.
Who you're agreeing with
Rufsan Shares is run by Rufsan Hossain as an individual, based in Bangladesh. Using the site means accepting these terms. If you don't, the site still works fine to read — but don't create an account.
Accounts
- You need to be 13 or older to create an account, and old enough to agree to terms where you live.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
- One person, one account. Accounts made to impersonate someone else get removed.
- You can delete your account whenever you like, from your settings. See what deleting does below — it is not the same as never having been here.
What you post
Comments and profile details stay yours. By posting them here you give me permission to display, store and distribute them as part of the site — nothing more. I don't claim ownership and won't license your words to anyone else.
Don't post:
- Anything you don't have the right to post — see the DMCA Policy if you think someone has.
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, or content sexualising minors.
- Spam, scams, malware, or bulk promotional links.
- Anything designed to break, overload or probe the site.
Comments that cross those lines get hidden or deleted, and repeat offenders lose their accounts. I'd rather explain than ban, but the decision is mine.
What happens when you leave
Deleting your account from settings does four things straight away: you can no longer sign in, every session is ended, your profile stops resolving, and the account is marked deleted.
What it does not do is erase your comments. Threads other people are still reading would collapse into nonsense if one side of a conversation vanished, so comments stay where they are. At present they keep the display name you had when you wrote them.
If you want your name off them as well, ask me — see the privacy policy — and I will anonymise the account by hand. That path replaces the name with “Deleted User”, blanks the email, avatar and bio, and disconnects any Google or GitHub sign-in.
What's mine
The posts, the design and the code behind this site are my work. You're welcome to quote from posts with attribution and a link — that's what they're for. Republishing whole articles, or feeding them into a product as if they were yours, is not.
Availability, and the honest disclaimer
This is a personal blog run by one person. It may go down, lose data, change, or stop existing. Posts may be wrong — I write about things I'm learning, and I correct them when I find out otherwise. Treat technical advice here as a starting point, not as professional guidance for your specific situation.
To the extent the law allows: the site is provided as-is, without warranties, and I'm not liable for losses arising from using it. Nothing here limits rights you have that can't be waived where you live.
Links out
Posts link to other people's sites, and some of those links may be affiliate links — the Affiliate Disclosure explains how that's handled. What happens on someone else's site is between you and them.
Changes and governing law
These terms can change; the date at the top shows when they last did, and material changes will be announced on the site. Continuing to use the site after that means the new version applies.
These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. If some part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
